Standing Prayer Requests for

the Spiritual Life of QAG

Pray for the Manifestations of the Spirit in our Services:

It is easy to just go about the work of the Church in our own strength and be content without the presence of the Lord moving in our services and in our lives.  Read the passages below and see that God was upset that no one was looking for the Manifestations of his Spirit.  On the Other hand Elisha was looking for it.

             Jeremiah 2:6-9 (NIV)

• ⁶ They did not ask, ‘Where is the Lord,
• who brought us up out of Egypt
• and led us through the barren wilderness,
• through a land of deserts and rifts,
• a land of drought and darkness,^a
• a land where no one travels and no one lives?’
• ⁷ I brought you into a fertile land
• to eat its fruit and rich produce.
• But you came and defiled my land
• and made my inheritance detestable.
• ⁸ The priests did not ask,
• ‘Where is the Lord?’
• Those who deal with the law did not know me;
• the leaders rebelled against me.
• The prophets prophesied by Baal,
• following worthless idols.
• ⁹ “Therefore I bring charges against you again,”
• declares the Lord.
• “And I will bring charges against your children’s children.

2 Kings 2:13-14 (NIV)  ¹³ He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. ¹⁴ Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it. “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.
